Inspired by the movie "Julie/Julia" I realized that I am still slacking on my blogging duties. I need to be better and I am ready for some new inspiration as well.
My problem: I need new restaurants and that's where The Egg and I on Bay Area in Webster comes in. Lots of buzz and the saucy fact that they say "Screw it, we are so awesome we are closing at 2pm" drew me to eat there for breakfast during Thanksgiving break. The place looks very small from the outside, but trust me that is very deceptive. Inside is really elegant and well laid out.
We were seated very quickly and sat down to look at the menu. OH MY GOSH there are a lot of breakfast choices. If I could, I would eat breakfast every meal. Alas, the wife won't cook Brunch and Brinner every day so I better make this choice count.
The waiter finally comes and I order French Toast. It comes with eggs (scrambled of course), bacon, and a fruit wedge. Wow it looks as awesome as it sounds. It is begging to go into my mouth, and I am not one to keep someone waiting soooooo....
Um, yeah it tastes incredible. Wow. Awesome. Delicious. It was one of the most delicious French Toast I have ever eaten. The eggs were fluffy and amazing as well. I couldn't have been happier with the food. The service was kind of slow, especially considering we were one of only like 6 tables. Other than that, it was an awesome meal.
