So I stepped on the scale today and it started to cry. I thought that was a bad sign on 2 fronts: 1) I need to eat better; 2) why is an electronic device crying?
I have been drinking lots of water all day today, but I need something in my belly before going to training class tonight. I peruse the meal replacement bars for like 10 minutes and finally decide on a Zone Perfect Bar, strawberry yogurt flavor. I like strawberries, yogurt is healthy, so it's gotta be good!
Nice packaging! Very colorful and shows it is an excellent source of protein, calcium, and fiber. Also, my nails are still looking great. I got a manicure at Vanity Nails on Bay Area a couple weeks ago while Sarah was getting her nails done and I have to say they still have a shine. For only 10 bucks that's a pretty damn good deal!
Anyway, back to the food. The bar doesn't look like a baby terd either so we definitely have something going here!
Oh god...oh god that is bad. I actually choked and dry heaved a little. That's what I get for trusting anything by "Zone." Those bastards are against carbs and my favorite hydrate in the world is carbohydrate (followed closely by methane hydrate).
That is where you belong bane of my existence! Forget it I'm going to Wendy's where my meal would probably be healthier! Check out the "nutritional" info about this one bar:
Are you kidding me??? 15 grams of sugar in that little nasty white terd? 20% saturated fat is a ridiculous amount for one "healthy" option. Saturated fat is much harder for the body to process (because the molecule is...well saturated and can't bond) which is a bad thing. Click on the links and you will see.
To sum up, Zone sucks, diets suck, you only live once so enjoy it while you can. I think I will get a Frosty to celebrate.
